Lake In The Hills Information

Goose Lake is utilized mainly for fishing while Willow Lake and Lake Scott are wildlife ponds. We even have a fen! Lake in the Hills was ranked the 4th healthiest place to live amongst peer communities throughout the Chicagoland area. 

Illinois Communities were graded on the elements below and received weighted scores according to the recommendations of experts in public health and epidemiology. Lake in the Hills scored highest in both the safety and environmental categories with overall rankings of 2nd and 6th respectively.

· Health - physicians per capita, premature mortality, low birth weights, incidence of cancer, fast food restaurants, and percent of population  using public transportation.

· Safety - number of violent crimes, property crimes, number of crash deaths, and number of liquor licenses.
